How do I configure my own, unlocked Linksys SPA2102 with ViaTalk?

These instructions assume that you are utilizing a computer that is plugged into the Ethernet port of a non-branded or unlocked LinkSys SPA2102.

1) Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) and copy/paste the following link into the address bar:

http://192.168.0.1/admin/voice/advanced/

2) You will be prompted to enter your administrative username and password.

password: 

3) Click the 'Line 1' tab at the top of the page. Once the page loads, you will see the information for your adapter's configuration. 

(You may open a separate browser window and visit your ViaTalk Control Panel to view your credentials found under the 'Softphone Configuration' icon.)

User ID:
Password:
DTMF Tx Method: Auto

4) Click the 'Submit All Changes' link at the bottom of the page.

Once this is complete, in approximately one minute you should see the Phone 1 light lit on the device. Plug a standard, touch-tone phone into the Phone 1 port to confirm dial tone, and you may then begin placing calls!
